#Forever - Documentary - Limited Edition of 40 Print

This work was inspired by my documentary #forever, which is documenting the lives of elderly Americans who live in nursing homes in the USA, the idea came from the negative perception that people have about this type of care and the real controversial positive impact that the project has shown along its course. “If you are pining for youth I think it produces a stereotypical old man because you only live in memory, you live in a place that doesn’t exist. Aging is an extraordinary process where you become the person you always should have been. ” David Bowie The portrait photographer always focuses on the eyes of the person being photographed and it was after revealing some photos of the project that I managed to realize that the eyes do not age and I saw a lot of life in the eyes of these incredible people, combined with their stories also incredible my inspiration in making of this project a work of art has increased. The feeling that I want to convey is in the eyes and in the photographic context of these images of these people, of history, of love, of the feeling of happiness, of the talents that we carry until the end of our lives and especially of the trajectory to which we are all subjected to follow.
