A Manyatta belonging to the Karamojong people of Karamoja, Uganda. The Karamojong consists of fierce warriors that live in villages composed of mud and wattle grass homes. Each Manyatta has a designated lifted hut, where they store food away from the ground. In that hut resides a person who’s sole responsibility is to keep the wild animals away from the food. Grass is part of INHABIT, a photographic collection that takes a look at the impact that culture, materials, climate conditions, and even political situations have on someone's home.
