There is hope for the future when one can still see tradesmen ekeing out a living in traditional crafts. In Georgetown, Penang, the older generation continue to maintain the work culture and know of their forebears and in doing so, have a hold on their history and heritage. Much of my work is in recording fast disappearing world cultures and traditions. This image resonates with the body of my work, that I call "The Humanscape". These Chinese residents of the Island of Penang were going at it Hammer and Tongs, hence the title. Photographers own Limited Edition Prints of 100. 1.
