ABOUT THE ARTWORK
My process is meditative, methodical, and sporadic all at once. The irony of all the grit and dirt and how it speaks to me in brush strokes and abstraction lure's me into a world not commonly visualized or acknowledged. My series “Concrete Landscapes” aims to highlight the unforeseen beauty of its’ formation and actualization. Letting light play tricks on the crude and stained and making it shine through with optimism and relentless silver linings. New, NO. I have been shooting concrete for the better part of 10 years. However, it has never taken shape. I committed myself in 2024 to refine, define and elevate my concrete vision and obsession. Untamed. Unapologetic. Poetic and complicated.
