Art Description

Photography: Digital on Other.

This is a photo taken while riding a bus to California after the death of a sibling. The photo was taken behind a Greyhound bus station in Calexico California at approximately 4:00 AM. I was not mentally ready to hop on a plane to travel to California, so I took the bus hoping to mentally adjust to the situation I was approaching. The image seemed to fit along with my life at the time. It was haunting, lonely, and as "cheesy" as a Wisconsin pizzeria. I was the only person there, waiting for close to two hours outside until the next bus came. It was hot as hell, and I had serious symptoms of stomach flu. That wall was probably the most pleasant thing I experienced on that trip.
