ABOUT THE ARTWORK
These photographs were taken on a holiday to the beautiful island of Madagascar, where I was exposed to the wonders of the island, the beautiful people, and their way of life. Pirogues are used by the local people as a way to get from island to island as their means of transport and to carry anything from motorbikes to fridges and groceries which are then carried across the ocean on these pirogues. This photograph was taken on the island of Ille St Marie just off of Madagascar.
