Mid-Century Home no. 1 Print

The images in this small collection are taken from my print-on-demand book “Midcentury Homes in Toronto”. In the book, the introduction ends with this paragraph: I met a woman last spring, baby in arm, in front of the mid-century home she’d just bought with her husband. They were renovating. I asked her why they bought this house. She said everything about the house just made it “a happy place to be”. One cannot get more philosophically concise about architecture than that. Foreword by Robert Moffatt, creator of Toronto Modern: Excerpt: “With Mid-century Homes in Toronto, André Pilon has successfully documented much of this time and place in its present state. The inkjets are printed on a smooth rich mat surface paper, Epson Hot Press Bright paper (100% cotton rag, acid free), a personal favorite.
