ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I ventured to Portland Head Lighthouse in Cape Elizabeth, Maine on a summer morning to find a fine mist hanging over Casco Bay, the sun rising behind it creating an ethereal glow. It was high tide and the waves washed over the rocky shoreline as the lighthouse stood above the fray, shining its beacon out over the water, providing a feeling of hope and safety.
