About The Artwork
Past,Present,Posterity ; Pigeon (2020), is a Digital Print, inspired from a spontaneous encounter with a pigeon. The work encompasses the period during lockdown, whereby the artist was isolated in his apartment, where he observed a pigeon close to his balcony window. A symbolic representation saw the artist creating a series over this subject matter. Closing up on the subject matter, the camera was half hidden in order to produce this intrinsic shot. The pigeon reminded the artist of picasso's dove/pigeons which represents peace and posterity, which this photograph came to envision. Foreshadowing the future of our existence, after the storm, post pandemic society.
