PRINT DESCRIPTION ------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Phaleanopsis Drop" The balance of orchids dropping through the frame is what captured my initial interest. I worked with posterization in post processing to acheive the balance of color and was happy how the image was transformed. The black interior of the pot offered a stark contrast and enough detail helps us to visualize the profiled Phaleanopsis. I think its this casting the flower from a different position that embues the composition. PRINT DETAILS ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This print will be signed & numbered on a 3/4” border and will include a Certificate of Authenticity. The image will be printed using archival inks and Moab Somerset Enhanced Velvet Fine Art Paper, 255gsm, 100% Cotton, Textured White, Mould-Made. This natural white paper produces deep, rich blacks with an unparalleled color gamut. The archival 100% cotton heavyweight paper has a smooth surface with a velvety fine art touch. Please note that the estimated production time (delivery time not included) is 10-15 working days as this limited edition artwork is made to order.

Brandon LeValley (1954) is a photographic artist from the United States. In 1976 he graduated from Washington State University where he studied Art. His passion for photography was fueled early in life when he was still shooting film and utilizing a darkroom to process images. Holding a final print offered a world of experience seeing how the light on a subject materialized. Years later he realized the digital camera had revolutionized processing. Today, he converts most images to black and white and shoots botanicals for their dramatic line and shape. He’s also drawn to architecture and landscapes. Living near Joshua Tree National Park provides many compelling compositions that come from his explorations. While his journey in photography has evolved, his passion is still ignited by subject matter. A unique image, he believes, comes about by a disciplined and oftentimes exhaustive approach. Knowing the payoff can be so rewarding, that commitment to detail ultimately renders a more compelling work.
