About The Artwork

Photo Series- No. 172 is created with acrylics and water. The splashart process was filmed and photographed using very little digital manipulation to enhance color. As a splashart artist, I am astonished by the clashing, morphing and mixing of acrylic paints and water as it moves. The boundless abstraction it creates as it settles, is mesmerizingly frozen with movement space and time. This abstract photography art is printed on Giclée Paper and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Mixed-Media Artist Former K-12 Visual Fine Arts Educator Community Volunteer Social Justice/Environmental Art Activist I'm a lifetime artist-educator inspired to create by using traditional methods, self-expression, and new media techniques. I draw inspiration from patterns of nature, portraits, animals, and the environment around me. My art depicts personal life experiences and social and environmental concerns. Currently, I'm creating abstract photography by the acrylic pour painting method combined with a technique I call "splashart"- by which water and paint splash together. Simultaneously, I capture still images of the paint and water transitioning and morphing to create abstract paintings. Professional photography prints are then produced. When necessary, digital enhancement is used to enhance the quality of images.
