About The Artwork

Here is American railroading in the 1970's. An engineer picks up train orders on the fly to tell him what is in store until the next set of orders is picked up. The train orders might tell him to wait for another opposing train on the single track, to take a siding or to warn of any hazards on the track ahead. Photo taken on the Southern Pacific Siskiyou Branch.

Greetings, I am a late career photographer curating my 50-year archive and selecting limited edition images for the Saatchi Art online gallery. I have always tried to create images that invite the viewer in and encourage my collectors to want to "live" with my images in their homes and offices. I have always tried not to confuse myself with Michelangelo.
