Picking Up Train Orders Print

Here is American railroading in the 1970's. An engineer picks up train orders on the fly to tell him what is in store until the next set of orders is picked up. The train orders might tell him to wait for another opposing train on the single track, to take a siding or to warn of any hazards on the track ahead.
