This is part of an on going series called "Portals". I have a fascination with doors and passage ways. Not only for their architectural design but also for their history. Who passed through it?... What was or what is behind it?... Who lived there?... These are are intriguing questions especially if the passage way is centuries old. This is a shot inside the Monastery of Santa Catalina in Arequipa, Peru. Located in the heart of Arequipa, Peru, The convent was founded in 1580 by doña María de Guzmán.
