Shadow games with the steps. The photo was taken at Uqair fort (Arabic:عقير) in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. It is the first seaport in the Arabian Gulf. It is alternatively spelled Al-'Uqair, Uqayr, and Ogair, all Latin transliterations of the same Arabic word. It has been linked by some to the ancient city of Gerrha mentioned in Greek and Roman sources. The site was also the location of the conference at which the Uqair Protocol of 1922 was issued, which helped to establish the borders of modern Saudi Arabia

I was born in Athens, Greece. Since I remember myself, I was taking pictures with toy cameras and filming in super 8 format. Later in the university (studying Engineering) I enter the SLR world and the black and white film. I started to work with DSLRs from the early stage of their development, attracted by the easiness of the post edit process. Usually, I prefer to work with natural light, and I like to visualize the photo before the caption and mainly prefer the B&W conversion. As a photographer, fine art, portraits, travel, and landscapes are my passion. My web page, where selected both limited and open editions works are available, is www.kiranfineart.com You can contact me at dimpaterakis@gmail.com
