ABOUT THE ARTWORK

This is taken from a satellite photograph (creative commons) and I have added the titling using Filmora film-editing software. It is the title frame for the animated short which I created using animations from Video Blocks, incorporating satellite images as background, spoken word-script (which I wrote), and music from audio blocks, which you can see here: https://youtu.be/piNDPP7S88Y The original script was inspired by a friend of mine (Stacy Tsaclis) who came up with the character of "Craven Crowna" "Jack Hammer" was my attempt at creating a "hero" in comedic reply to his "villain" This is the title-board from the short animated film that I created as a proof-of-concept for the science-fiction comic/drama "Spacecop" I put together the animations and Ben Terris put together the soundtrack. The script itself has a running time of about 90 minutes and it is a project that I plan to reactivate as soon as that is possible. I paid for the rights to the images through Video Blocks -and created this image at that time. I expect I'll enter a new arrangement for the rights when we create the podcast/movie. I am still working on this project, but It is an evolving work in progress, I have changed the working title, and I hope to complete the film script later this year. It includes a palette of Cobalt Blue, China Pink, Candy Pink, Byzantine, Byzantium, Apricot, Brilliant Rose, Blue Green, Bittersweet Shimmer, Atomic Tangerine, Amethyst, Black and White, and Absolute Zero. In the top right you can see a goddess, brushing her hair back, in the center bottom, a cosmic surfer, to his, left a lion, and a woman mourning her lover. As above so below, we are merely silent spectators in the interstellar night show. Color Palette: #e9b78c #270849 #960e1d #e3604c #88177b #8a684d #ab2956 #5d0c2a #c2292b #bf48ad (You can choose to have your image reproduced in Aluminum, Canvas, Paper, or Photo-paper). Chromoluxe Reproductions: (Limited edition of 10 only for any of my images). Chromoluxe means two things: Durability and Definition. This exclusive edition of 10 images will be created using the new Chromoluxe aluminum printing technique for high-quality large format art. The colors leap from the surface to produce vibrant melodious images. Your investment will retain its birth-date energy and integrity. You will appreciate this stunningly vital picture that is so spirited it will appear to levitate off any wall. The Chromoluxe sublimation technique means that the image is embossed into the slimline metal sheet that has a hanging frame on the back so that it sits out from the wall -by a couple of inches. This means that your rare edition print will seem to “float” just in from of the wall. You won’t need to make a separate payment for framing or worry about breakable glass and expensive heavy frames to carry (if you move to a new house). This print will be scratch-resistant, durable, and will retain the image’s vibrancy ~for a lifetime. This is 21st-century printing, high definition and literally, state-of-the-art. Very few places in the world can produce an image of this size, in this format. Not only will you have a collectible work of art, but it will be rendered in the cutting-edge format. Durable, appreciable, and gallery-quality. Side on, the print appears as a slip sheet of aluminum, from the front, the colors are glossy and intensely vivid. The panel has smoothed corners and looks sleek and elegant. (You can opt for a matte finish if you prefer). Your beautiful art will be carefully packaged in a custom-made box with plenty of protection for shipping. Shipping is tracked and signed for as standard. Takes approximately three weeks to get ready to ship. *(The estimated weight is based on Canvas Gallery Wrap 1.5" deep with 1 Layer of Resin). Shipping costs will vary with the material's weight, I will provide you with an accurate quote prior to your order.

I started drawing as a child, but quickly became enamored with photography, I got my first camera at about 10 (a Box "Brownie") and started making images with that and quickly progressed to a Yoshika SLR (and electro 35). I took art as a subject from the ago of 12 to the age of 18, and also Technical Drawing for a couple of years. Soon after I discovered music and so photography took a back-seat for many years. From music I discovered computers, and when I realized the exciting potential that they offer in terms of images my inspirations took on a new lease of life. I studied Computers at University level in 1997, and loved it so much that I decided to pursue it further, and attended the National College of Design and Technology in Christchurch, NZ. It was there that I started to experiment with images in Ernest. The subject that I covered were 3D Modelling, 3D Animation, Audio Visual, The Web and CD ROM production. I experimented with Strata creating 3D models, and animations and designed The "Nova" car and the "Millennium" housing design, also a chair, the P.O.D. (Positional Orientating Digitator). This was before Steve Jobs released the iPOD. These were industrial designs, But I do have one still image from that period which I am including in my entry. That year my partner had a son, and he had health complications, and so I had to put aside art and concentrate on finding work. From there my life had been about music and computers, until my band broke up around 2007, and I suddenly found myself with lots of free time and a copy of Photoshop and a copy of Paintshop Pro.
