ABOUT THE ARTWORK

This photo was taken in northern England on the grounds of Alnwick Castle - forever in the hearts of minds of Harry Potter fans as Hogwarts Castle. While fans were flocking to the castle itself, I tend to move in the opposite direction of the crowds. Walking the grounds, I grounded myself in the beauty of the natural landscape. Spring has sprung - the living becomes more alive and beauty can be found in all things old and new. Photograph Details: Original digital photo; Giclee processing (using seven dye inks) printed on 6" x 9"" archival quality, thick matte, fine art paper which reflects a subtle watercolor texture; Paper size: 200 GSM; Finishing Details: Black rounded frame with single 2" white matte with total artwork measuring 13.5" x 16.5"

Dana Hardie was born and raised in the Midwest, where she lives today with her family in the Land of 10,000 Lakes. With an undergraduate degree in Spanish and Latin American Studies and a Master degree in Public and Non-Profit Administration, Hardie is gradually transitioning from the business world to fiber art and photography. A lover of all things vintage, and an avid traveler both nationally and internationally, her works typically reflect these passions.
