About The Artwork
Much of my work revolves around the local waterways. This capture is from our intracoastal waterway with a view of the sunset in the background. The tide here is incredibly calm even though the water flows in and out from the sea. The gentle ripples are evident in the image. The photograph is manipulated to convey the movement of the tide but washing away the details of the natural image. The intent for this and my other work from the Movement Collection is to honor a particular scene (natural colors, movements and such) while creating a more minimalist, zen impression of it. The art is meant to add peace and tranquility to a space (office or home) and bring some nature indoors. Original art is signed and numbered. Ships in a crate. Printed as a gallery wrapped canvas that's easy to hang although the art itself is rather large.

Friends and fellow troops I know succumb to darkness and it forces me to focus on finding my peace and balance. In this collection, I observe the mood and movement of the ocean, trees, and sky. I blend the choppiness of reality to make it more peaceful while still observing the ebb and flow of Mother Nature's beauty."
