About The Artwork
This photographic print is the result of a stifling hot afternoon in England on yet another hot sunny day in July. A heatwave had existed in 2018 for the whole of the United Kingdom for about nine weeks. The temperature easily in the early thirties celsius was overpowering. And so was the image growing in my head. The colour seemed a relaxing Mediterranean hue, and the nude from old stock taken in 2013 at the Tate Modern was ideal for my vision. Why,The Lady Without A Parasol? Why not!
