The Rest Print - Limited Edition of 100

It was New Year's Eve of 2012, my family and I were on vacation at Camburi beach at the north coast of São Paulo. Around 4:30 pm it was cloudy but the warmth of Brazil's summer was full. We played at the beach, dived, surfed, racquetballed and ate a lot ice creams. My kids and I, Thiago 15 years old and Pietra 8 years old at the time, decided to rest. After a while, I noticed my son sleeping, sitting in the beach chair with his head covered by a pink towel. I slowly lifted a towel and there he was with his beautiful, serene and relaxed face, with small grains of sand scattered across his face, with his lips still a little stained from the grape ice cream, showing all his strength and beauty. So with my left hand I held the towel up and with my right hand I photographed him. Gently I covered his face again, he was still sleeping, he continued his well-deserved and deep rest to the sound of the sea waves. Thank you my son Thiago for illuminating the world with your beauty! I love you soo much!
