About The Artwork
The Museum of Modern Art in the Pompidou Centre, Paris. The gallery was so minimal there was almost no art on display, just white walls and every now and then an attendant keeping watch. Limited edition signed and numbered print, edition of 20. The print is a 30"x20" giclée print on natural white 308g matte 100% cotton rag, printed with pigment inks. The image has a small 1-2" border for mounting and framing. The photograph will be signed and numbered with a certificate of authenticity. Ever since my journey in photography began in 1983 I have been captivated by light, shadow, tone and colour. The way these simple ingredients combine in myriad different ways is a constant source of wonder and even more amazing is that photography has given me a way to capture the thrill and the buzz I get from the way a shadow falls on a yellow wall or seeing shapes created by the angle of a street lamp. My work encompasses a wide variety of subjects and I generally have no fixed agenda other than to somehow translate what I see in my mind’s eye into an image which people can understand and relate to.
