ABOUT THE ARTWORK

I inspired by women's beauty. Although I am a semi-blind person, I see it and feel it in my unique way, with my senses. It is sensory photography (photography made by blind or semi-blind people), which is black and white and it is simple and clean. With this kind of photographies, I would like to show on the world, that we, the blind and semi-blind people, also can make photography and can "see" the woman's beauty and to feel the light and the shadows around us. This photography is inspired by the idea of loneliness and this what comes in our thoughts when we are only with ourselves... shadows and light deep inside us. I dedicate this Sensory Photography to all these moments when we are alone and ask ourselves who are we and where are we? The photography is with white Passepartout, with which the sizes of it become about 23,6 inches W and 31,5 inches H. It can be purchase in other sizes, too (about 8x12 inches, with Passepartout - 15,7x19,7 inches and smaller). It is part of my first Photo Exhibition with Sensory photographs in December 2016.

I am 55 years old (born on 11 December 1964), a painter, sensory photographer and creative artist from Sofia, Bulgaria. When I was 26 years old, I had a car accident (in one taxi) and I had a very serious heads-on automobile collision that has left me comatose for nearly four hours in the ER. After that and after many operations, I was absolutely blind for about 4 years. Now I paint and make sensory photographs with only4 % VISUAL RESIDUAL CAPACITY. The medias said that I am the only semi-blind painter of stained glass (not vitrage) in Bulgaria and maybe in Europe. Doctors think, that my story is unparalleled as it demonstrates yet again the incredible adaptation and compensatory capabilities of the human brain, a triumph of mind over matter. The Sensory Photographs, which I present you in Saatchi Art are from 2016 and 2020. Sensory photography is a kind of photography, which is for blind or semi-blind photographers and it is created in Mexico. For now, there are sensory photography lessons only in Mexico, Bulgaria and maybe almost in no other country, so it is UNIQUE and different! I also present to you a few of my paintings on canvas (nude women's bodies). If you are interested, I could show and offer you my Stained Glass paintings (also reproductions of famous paintings like for example "Mona Lisa" and some others). :)
