Yellow Fields - Limited Edition of 15 Print

It’s May in Romania and the fields of canola are just starting to bloom. The morning light lends it’s soft touch to the fields, mesmerizing those who travel by. Stopping the car to observe the phenomenon up close, I noticed that the hills in the distance were blending into the sky with the haze. Walking along the fields to choose an area where the flowers had not yet bloomed gave the picture much more depth and prominence. 'Yellow Fields' is from the Primordial Landscapes series by Bruce Peebles. Edition limited to 15 + 2 Artists Proofs, size 35 x 35 inches (90cm x 90cm). Shot in Romania where I applied some in-camera techniques to the landscape for the 'Primordial Landscapes' series. I enroll the use of color, often muted but sometimes bright and garish, to capture the essence of the landscape.
