A waterfall is always something special. Unless you live in specific areas around the world, to see a waterfall is a treat - often a surprise gift from nature that you glimpse out of the corner of your eye. At Yosemite, the mountains are the main focus of your attention; El Capitan - the giant white glacier and the Half Dome are the 'must see' sights. However, right there as you are looking at those magnificent wonders of nature your eye is drawn to the white spray that catches the sunlight and glints, as water cascades down the mountainside, against the russet Fall colours and feeds the Merced River, watering the lush forests all around.
