Lauren's art is designed from photographs, but it doesn't look like what you would think!! Her distinctive use of photographs and media reflects a long tradition of abstract and expressionist painting, as well as the more contemporary fine artworks. Clients include LS3P Architects, Hacin & Associates, Johns Hopkins Hospital, Clemson University, The Noisette Company. Currently, Preller is working on her Local Map Art Project creating Art Maps. These Art Maps are designed from specific local areas of coastal Maryland and South Carolina. Preller’s photographs local topographic colors and textures. The photographs are digitally integrated into the Art Maps, which makes each map a work of beautiful and uniquely local art.
