Édgar Güiza
Colombia
Édgar Güiza is a visual artist and teacher. He graduated from the Industrial University of Santander (Bucaramanga, Colombia) in 2013. In 2020, he completed a Master's Degree in Arts at the Universidad de Sevilla (Seville, Spain). He received an honorable mention in the Art Room Gallery's “Open Art Exhibition” (2023), won the painting category at the 11th Salón departamental de artes visuales Mire (2022), was one of the winners of the “Convocatoria de Arte Red Colombia” (2021), winner of the call for proposals “Becas para la reactivación del sector cultural y artístico del Área Metropolitana de Bucaramanga” (2021), and received an honorable mention in the call for proposals “Premio diseño de afiche para celebración 400 años de Bucaramanga” (2021). Some of his works are part of private collections in Canada, Colombia, Mexico, Spain and USA. He has participated in several group exhibitions in Brazil, Colombia, Spain, Italy, Luxembourg, Mexico, and Peru.
