ABOUT THE ARTWORK

I've used the linocut technique in my studio work to depict natural forms. My method is qualitative, involving in-depth analysis of plant and animal cell structures. I'm fascinated by lines and patterns in nature, which inspired this project. I've discovered that nature's forms are lyrical, harmonious, and rhythmic, with patterns of lines everywhere, from waterfalls to tree branches, rocks, and crystals. Printmaking is my chosen medium, and I've explored linocut sheets and designs to convey these repeating patterns. These patterns in nature bring order and serenity to our lives. The art piece's dimensions without mounting are 15 x 18 inches. When mounted, it will have a width of 2 inches added to each side, making the total dimensions with mounting 19 x 22 inches.
