Little Ring Nebula Print

I am a visual artist from Turin (Italy). I started creating painted sculptures in the early 21st century while working as a graphic designer. Since then I have dedicated myself to many art forms including music, I am an amateur jazz singer and ukulele player. A few years ago I decided to resume my studies to become an art teacher, so in 2020 I obtained a master's degree in communication and enhancement of the contemporary artistic heritage at Albertina Academy of Fine Arts of Turin. Most of my works are made with thousands of clay balls (the ones that are usually used in vases with plants), wrapped in paper and acrylic plaster, on a wooden and mdf support. Many glazes of diluted acrylic color are spread over this preparation, creating a chaotic effect. It's a job that takes a lot of time so I don't create many artworks in a year. It is a job that needs meditation and it is a reflection on the long times of creation in this age of speed where only productivity and efficiency seem to matter.
