About The Artwork
I created a work looking at a beautiful girl named Maria. I saw in her a special plastic beauty, not the beauty that is dictated by modern fashion, but the beauty of the monumental silhouette of the sculpture. She is not slender, not light and not graceful as young beauties are. She has a weight, a mass that pulls her to the ground, gives her figure a special plasticity, a unique springy static. She stands like a monument, she feels her weight, the incredible tension of her energy is closed under the tilt of her head and closes with the palm lying on her chest.
