Owen Lennox

Born in Sunderland England in 1950.

I professional artist with work in collections in the UK and abroad. I'm married with three children and now live in rural Essex. Photograph of me presenting Tom Stoppard with a commissioned portrait drawing. I have recently had my first novel 'The Picture of Joe Roc' published by J.P.Grinion. I paint mostly portraits. I can draw and paint from direct observation to a high standard but for most of my recent commissions I use photographs. My inspiration comes fom; Carravagio, Velazquez, Rembrandt and Edwardian artists like Philip de Lazlo, John Singer Sargent and William Orpen.

I'm a graduate in Fine Art, History of Art and a have post graduate qualification in Art. I have had many, one man, and group shows, both in the UK and abroad including exhibiting with the Royal Society of Portrait Painters. Commissions I have copleted include Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth the 2nd, the 38th President of the USA Gerald Ford, The Earl and Countess of Wessex and many more from the world of politics the arts and media.,
