French-Lebanese artist Rachel K was born with a pencil in her hand. Her father, himself an artist, used to create sculptures and paintings for public buildings and private commands. Born in Beirut, she grew up in France before deciding to settle down in Lebanon and begin her career as an Artist. Drawn quite early to mixed media art, her pieces combine paint, fiber collage, pearls and vintage toys that she finds in flee markets and niche boutiques. Rachel’s universe is voluntarily colorful. Her art celebrates a fantasy world, a place that speaks to our inner child, a place full of memories, dreams and joy.
Since 2012, her artworks and other creations have been displayed in many private and public exhibitions in Lebanon, such as Afk’art and Beirut Designers’ Week, and more recently in the UAE for World Art Dubai. She has also been commissioned two sculptures for restaurants, hotels, and Beirut’s famous nightclub.
Her work has been featured in several magazines including Elle Oriental, Noun, Plastik magazines, Jdeed, and Time Out Beirut. Winner of the Best International Solo Artist at the World Art Dubai Awards 2017.
