Rachel Mataira

Rachel / Wellington (b. 1995)

Award-winning photographer based in Auckland, New Zealand. Her work focuses on the contrasting genres of landscape photography and social commentary. She is inspired by both calm and chaos, the human condition and nature.

Her work spans diverse landscapes within New Zealand. Rachel explores the calm and solitude that can be found in nature and attempts to bring that same feeling into homes, offices, boutique accomodation, and retirement villages across the globe.
