Rachel Arif

My name is Rachel Arif. I am a Landscape Artist based in London but spend my spare time in Suffolk, where I get much of my inspiration. I am drawn to the enchanting coastal region with its quaint rural villages and bleak beautiful marshes.

Known as 'Constable Country', the artist himself painted many of the villages, streams and heaths that I visit today. Known as an area of outstanding natural beauty, my work is mainly concentrated here. I am particularly drawn to the coastal towns and villages of Aldeburgh, Southwold, Thorpness and Walberswick.

This enchanting part of Britain with its wonderful light is what attracts artists alike.

Our land and weather here in the U.K have made us who we are and are intensely emotional, powerful forces that are part of our very soul. I am always trying to find ways to capture a moment of that emotion, evoking those weather filled days.
