Raimund Feiter

Free art, video, photography - what does your heart beat for? asked Joseph Beuys after a tour of the ateliers at the Art Academy Düsseldorf: Photography!
So Raimund Feiter studied with Prof. Arno Jansen at the Fachhochschule in Cologne.
After graduation, he worked among other things as a photojournalist for a German newspaper.
While Raimund initially worked with analog black and white photography, he now uses digital means to explore new opportunities. As image carrier he uses solely the classic handmade paper.
The different surface structures - from fine to coarse – allow Raimund to determine the atmospheric character of the image. Like for the image carrier he does not compromise on the print. He selects the traditional pigment printing as this guarantees a consistent color quality and a long lasting brilliance.
Raimund’s world of pictures reflects exactly what Henri Cartier-Bresson once said: taking photos means aligning the head, the eye and the heart in the same line of vision. It is a way of life.
