Ramona-Mariana Pirtea

Pirtea is a self-taught abstract artist whose practice has evolved over nine years of dedicated exploration and experimentation. Her work is guided by intuition and emotion, reflecting a deeply personal dialogue between inner experience and the external world. Influenced by nature, music, film, and literature, Pirtea channels these sources of inspiration into abstract forms that capture movement, rhythm, and feeling.

Over time, the artist has developed a distinctive visual language through innovative use of unconventional materials and tools such as Perspex Glass, flexible filler blades, and mattress sponges. These methods create dynamic textures and layered surfaces, giving each painting a tactile, physical presence.



Drawn to large-scale canvases, the artist embraces the freedom of working expansively — allowing the act of painting to become both expressive and immersive. Through their abstract practice, Pirtea continues to explore emotion, energy, and transformation, inviting viewers to connect with the intuitive and the unseen.
