Hristo Kolev

My name is Hristo Kolev, my nickname is Riko, not because of anything else, but because my favorite people called me that as a child. I was born on March 21, 1978. in the town of Yambol. I spent my childhood in a small pretty village 30 km from Yambol - the village of Leyarovo. I started drawing as a child - like any child who is enchanted by colored pencils and felt-tip pens. For me, however, this magic continued to work. I started studying at a painting school in Yambol with Todor Yalamov. Later I continued my education at the "Vasil Levski" High School in an art class with a teacher, the artist Doncho Donev. Towards the end of my secondary education I entered another drawing school in Yambol - that of Petar Tepsizov. In 1998 I was accepted, and in 2003. I finished my higher education in Veliko Tarnovo at the University "St. St. Cyril and Methodius" - the Faculty of Fine Arts under Ivan Uzunov.
I started painting in parallel with media, computers, advertising, and later with interior design and 3D visualizations. I work mainly in the field of painting, graphic and interior design, photography. I have participated in general art exhibitions in Yambol, Veliko Tarnovo, Gabrovo, Sofia and others.
