Hello,
After breaking my wrist on a motorcycle several years ago, being a visual artist was far from what I thought possible. I just didn't know. Until my youngest son inspired me to pick up the brush again.
I studied commercial art at MVSU (1982) where our art department was know for fine arts because of my former Department Head and Instructor William "Pop" Johnston. He was a great influence on me as and artist, but more so as helping me mature as a young man.
I don't have one particular style, but a lot of my inspiration comes from music, and remnants from my childhood growing up in the rural south. (Belcher, LA)
Be it acrylic or pencil, it's represents an emotional connection to my upbringing in North Louisiana.
