Ihor Ropyanyk

Ihor Ropyanyk was born in the city of Ivano-Frankivsk /former Stanislav/ in Ukraine in 1957. In 1983 he graduated from the faculty of Journalism at the Lviv State Ivan Franko’s University. For 23 years he worked as a correspondent for several newspapers. He is a member of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine.
His artistic talents were evident in childhood and blossomed during the student years. Since that time painting became a passion and a life's occupation. He developed his skills while studying in the Moscow People's University of Arts, and also while taking private lessons from famous artists.
He works with drawings and prefers landscape and still life. He has created over three thousand canvas for thirty years of his carrier, which were exhibited on numerous exhibitions, and presently are in private collections of sixteen countries of the world.
