James Rose

Australian born, a Canadian citizen, resident in the UK, I draw and paint as a matter of habit. Life drawing, portraits, and more recently, entomological studies. More for my own satisfaction than with thoughts of exhibition, but I'm happy if other people enjoy them too.

I work in visual effects for film and TV, so my art frees my mind and hand from the computer, and keeps my eyes sharp for eccentric detail.

Studied drawing and ceramics at Nepean College of Advanced Education (1985) & Sydney College of the Arts (1986)
