Satomi Shirai

Satomi Shirai is a Japanese born, New York based Artist. She received her BA from Musashino Art University in Tokyo and MFA from CUNY Hunter College in 2010. She has exhibited internationally, including Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography, Motus Fort Gallery in Tokyo, Topaz Arts in New York City, Micheko Galerie in Munich, and National Portrait Gallery in London. Her work is featured in the current issue of European Photography 89, and is on view in the group show "Portraiture Now: Asian American Portraits of Encounter" at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery in Washington D.C.
