Arvind Sharma

As I belong to a multi-diverse society in Karnal, Haryana, India, I was always inquisitive about human relations in the social context. Human beings are the mirror reflection for certain time frame in our society. Every person presents his individual expression according to the specific human interaction. Either one can be right or wrong based on the situation and circumstances. Being an artist, I try to emphasise the contradiction between right and wrong approach in the society. I found that happiness reflects among the diverse social expression. I have chosen printmaking as a medium of my expressive thoughts. Several times a multitude of questions crop up while I am in my process of creation. The evoked questions are about my existence and my role in the society. The inquiry of the dilemma has become the key concern of my body of works.
Initially I was inspired to do art from my surroundings which also included my father’s works. He has done several drawings of gods and goddesses. Seeing him enjoying his art, I decided to pursue art and receive formal academic training in art.
