I was born in the balmy sun-drenched coast of Durban, yet have lived most of my life under Table Mountain’s glorious shadow and the moody weather of Cape Town. Surrounded by this World Heritage Site and its biodiverse fynbos I have had my senses nurtured with colour and African light.

Although painting has always been a part of my life, it was only since 2013 that I made a conscious decision to love what I do and do what I love, taking on a series of classes to develop my skill base.

Since life takes us on many bends and curves until you find the path that fits the best, I have been fortunate to include; studying at the University of Cape Town and receiving an Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Environmental Science and Archaeology, dancing professionally for 4 years, working in an environmental consultancy agency, working with an aquatic ecologist in the Lowveld (where our major game parks are), working for an environmental NGO as their Marketing person and working in a small advertising agency using my desktop-publishing skills.

I have been fortunate to have been guided by wonderful mentors and fellow artists. It’s been a journey of great learning. Learning that staying true to my authentic expression can lead to wonderful opportunities. Working every day, I am continuously growing and practicing my craft, being sure to attend various workshops and classes on a regular basis. I have also learnt that it is important to keep playing so that my work continues to grow.

I have exhibited my work with Original Cape Art, Art SA, Cape Artists, The South African Society of Artists and The Constantiaberg Art Society. I have had support from various local galleries and a number of pieces have found its way into international homes, especially in Germany, the UK, The Netherlands and USA.
