Sheryl Condit

I have been a commissioned mural artist for more than thirty years. I’ve painted well over a thousand murals in hotels in the United States, internationally, and in client’s homes. I have also done commissioned portraits which led to my love of faces, the range of human expression. These past decades I have been a student of light and color and shadow and texture. Working in large format has given me an appreciation for detail and technique, proportion and placement. Now, for this next phase in my career as a professional artist, I have scaled to painting on canvas with oils and acrylic using the skills I first learned in Kent State University as an Art Major now honed through time.

Due to my work in portraiture. I found what fascinated me most were interesting faces showing emotion and depth of character. Happiness and sadness, love and acceptance, fear and trepidation, hope and longing. Thus, I unveil my new collection of paintings, Faces and Places.
