Shilpi Nath Dey

I, Shilpi Nath Dey as a practicing fine art artist being influenced by my surroundings, natural elements and ancient philosophy. I always try to capture the emotions, memoirs and characteristics of human psychology throughout my work in biomorphic shape or in metaphorical way.
I feel, practicing any art form is a divine process. It's a kind of meditation. It releases us from the materialistic world and takes us to a spiritual one. I used to work and observe continuously as something more to be explored inside. So I keep experimenting with different methods, techniques, material application or choosing my new surface.
I feel art is everywhere, in every layer and stages of life from the primitive till today.
I have participated in multiple renowned national and international exhibitions in India and Abroad. I am fortunate to receive multiple prestigious awards nationally and Internationally. I got the grant from Lalit Kala Akademi and am working as a resident artist of Lalit Kala regional centre Lucknow. I also worked in Bharat Bhavan, Bhopal
