Shiva A

I immigrated to Canada by myself. Growing up in my home country, I was exposed to great art work, from paintings to architectural structures and sculptures, from centuries ago. I was inspired enough to pursue my education in fine arts but my life took another turn. In my work I try to connect my current modern world with my roots and the traditions of my home country. For me creating my work starts with visions in my mind which I then try to put on canvas. I don't follow any patterns but like to show some discipline in my paintings. I enjoy playing with bold colors and adding textures to my work.
