Kristen Santucci

A self taught artist, Kristen has always been creative. Growing up in Maryland, she was invariably making crafts, sewing or taking photographs.

When she was eighteen, she moved to Clearwater, Florida with her family. It wasn't until she started working in an arts and crafts shop as a picture framer, that she started painting.She loved designing and framing all of the different styles of art that came into the shop....so she decided to try her hand at painting.

She has been painting ever since. Learning different techniques and trying different mediums, she now paints with oils, and is inspired by the beautiful beaches on Florida's west coast.

The revival of romantic figurative painting has inspired Kristen to paint images of the female figure. In her recent "Kimono Series", she paints with a sense of ambiguity; faces hidden, combining drapery and pattern with the figure.

Kristen's art is displayed in several local galleries, and has been sold to collectors in the U.S., France and China.
