Sofya was born in 1979 in the big Siberian city – Novosibirsk, raised by a mother art-teacher and a father bio-chemist. She grew up spending most of the time interacting with nature in the woods. And every summer was full of wonders for her in the grandmother's garden. She graduated from Novosibirsk State Academy of Architecture and Arts where she studied design. During her studies, Sofya discovered Antoni Gaudi, Zaha Hadid and other amazing architects and designers working in bionic style. Like her heroes, she felt a deep connection with nature. In 2010 "The Great Adventure" has happened. Sofya moved to Iceland. Currently Sofya lives in Reykjavik with her husband and daughter where she continues explore her interest to nature and and human’s place in it, creating art with atmosphere of pagan mythology and folktales.
