Sandrine Rollin

I live in south of France in Aix-en-Provence. My painting transmits the art of living of Provence.
The motif of a terracotta object, which is found in many of my
works, is only present to bind us to the earth, to the clay.
It acts as a repeating pattern, which reinforces this primary connection. It deepens the meaning of memory.
Symbolically, it establishes a link with the past.
The pattern therefore becomes identifiable throughout the works like imprints left. It contributes to our re-appropriation of the past.
