Andrea Marchese

Born and grown in Turin (Italy) I was always interested in the depiction of reality: from video to stencil art. The passion of drawing, born during highschool, where, me and my friend Alessio Alonne, making fun on history of art's lessons, started drawing really simple and rough subjects with extremely long titles. From the joke attitude we keep drawing and producing acrylic canvases, influencing each other on our styles and subjects and we decided to found Supop, a melting pot between Surrealism and Pop-Art.
This new movement consisted in the depiction of thoughts, states of mind, deliriums with the aesthetic of cartoons: colorful with black outlines.
From 2004, when I started painting, I keep develop my personal artistic research, digging in the aberrants, ridicolouses and contraddictories aspects of the contemporary humans, alternating humorism, reflection and cinical detachment
