T Atkinson

T. Atkinson is a fine artist working predominately in oils and mixed media. After an initial interest in the graphic arts in college, she found the ideal outlet for her creativity to lay in the fine arts. Traditional technique and the freedom of mediums provided an avenue that allowed exploration of the creative realms of fantasy, form, and imagination that have led to her current creations.

The innovative pieces she has created build upon a unique Mélange technique, developed over several years of experimentation. The finished art plays with light itself. Changing form and mood from varied points of view, lighting arrangement, and intensity of light. This is created by the light travelling through and over a blend of colors, pigments and glazes that have been allowed freedom to build and shape the foundation for the finished creation.
