In Renaissance time man was seen to be at the center of the world. By the 20th century man was no longer in control of perspective. Picasso recognized this and subsequently eliminated perspective.


By the dawn of the 21st century humans are taking responsibility for the world and this gives rise to a new perspective which is centered in the human heart. I see this as the starting point of my work. through the use of inversion. Inversions being a literal reversal of perspective as a way to express an internal experience of the heart. For example literally painting a glass inside out, or a house in revers perspective. With this i hope to shed light on a 21st century experience of the world.
